At Aura Vet Hospital we have a fully equipped and dedicated operating theatre for surgical procedures. We perform a wide range of surgeries including but not limited to:

• De-sexing procedures

• Lump removals

• Abdominal surgery

• Caesareans

• Minor eye surgery

• Orthopaedic surgery (Cruciate, fracture repairs, etc)

With our experienced surgeons and caring, qualified nursing staff, you can rest assured that your pets will received the best care whilst they are with us.

 

Soft Tissue Surgery

Soft tissue surgeries ranging from de-sexing to exploratory laparotomies, enterotomies, bladder stone removal, tumour/lump excisions, wound repair and reconstructive surgery if needed.

Orthopaedic Surgery

We are fully equipped to undertake most complex orthopaedic procedures including fracture repairs, dislocations, placement of bone pins and plates, external fixation, excisional arthroplasty and cruciate repairs.

 

Gold standard of pain management

Aura Vet Hospital has a gold standard of pain management. We believe pain is something that no pet should experience needlessly.

It is a surgery policy for all animals undergoing surgery to receive pain control. The amount, type and duration is tapered according to individual needs and the type of procedure performed.

We strongly believe in the benefits of pre-emptive pain relief, and all pets undergoing surgery will receive pain relief both before and after the operation.
